CHIN 1401 - Elementary Chinese I (first semester) Beginning

Introductory Mandarin Chinese course focused of listening comprehension, speaking, short readings, and introduction to Chinese characters and culture. Additional emphasis given to the communicative aspect of acquiring a foreign language. Note: CHIN 1301 and 1302 may be taught at external campuses as three hour courses without additional emphasis given to the communication aspect.
