Specific operational research techniques essential to the analysis of health care managerial challenges are studied. The design of new and improved systems is analyzed, as are those employed to achieve desired system performance. Operational considerations in managing hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities, home health agencies, and other emerging forms of non-institutionalized health care delivery are examined.
