MATH 1303 - Mathematics for Liberal Arts

Practical applications for mathematics with a goal of mathematical literacy. The course will focus on problem solving using critical thinking and concepts from algebra, geometry, and statistics. Topics will include logic, mathematics of finance, statistical reasoning, modeling with linear, quadratic, and exponential functions, and real-world applications of geometry. Prerequisite(s): MATH 1300 or MATH 1400 or placement equivalent to MATH 1304
