GEOL 3403 - Structural Geology 4 hrs
A survey of various physical structures of the Earth’s crust; their classification, origin, economic aspects, and methods of discovery will be discussed; stress, strain, the mechanisms of rock deformation, and descriptions of structural variations in different tectonic settings; solution of structural problems and an introduction to geologic mapping. Prerequisite(s): GEOL 1401 or consent of instructor. Lecture three hours, laboratory three hours. Course Fee: $90.00
