Business Administration, Human Resource Management Specialization, B.A.S.

Course Requirements

Students pursuing the B.A.S. degree must complete 36 semester hours, 18 of which must be upper-level credit. The 36 semester hour major includes an 18-semester hour business core and an 18-semester hour specialization. When a course is taken without having the specified prerequisite equivalent additional hours will be added to the program. The 18-semester hour core consists of:

BUAD 4334 - Business Ethics 3 hrs
RSWR 3345 - Research Writing Methods 3 hrs

From one set:

ACCT 2305 - Principles of Accounting I 3 hrs and
ACCT 2306 - Principles of Accounting II 3 hrs
or
ACCT 3307 - Financial Accounting 3 hrs and
ACCT 3308 - Managerial Accounting 3 hrs

From one set:

ECON 2307 - Principles of Macroeconomics 3 hrs and
ECON 2308 - Principles of Microeconomics 3 hrs
or
ECON 4346 - Survey of Economics 3 hrs and
Three hours approved business electives

Notation:

Students may choose the 18-semester hour specialization from General Business, Health Care Administration, Human Resource Management, or Management Information Systems Application.

Human Resource Management Specialization

Students who elect the Human Resource Management specialization must complete:
