The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Two-Dimensional Studio Art offers undergraduate level professional education in Painting, Drawing, Graphic Design, Photography, Printmaking, and Commercial Illustration with an emphasis on current technologies and aesthetic studies, preparing students for careers in art gallery management, graphic design studios, museum studies and education, teaching or production studio practices.

Course Requirements

The B.F.A. degree is for students seeking a more pre-professional approach to their academic career. This degree offers either a two-dimensional or three-dimensional emphasis. There will be no need for a minor to graduate with this degree, but electives will be needed to meet the upper-division graduation requirement.

ART 1304 - Painting I 3 hrs
ART 1305 - Sculpture I 3 hrs
ART 2303 - Design I 3 hrs
ART 2306 - Ceramics I 3 hrs
ART 2307 - Printmaking I Introduction 3 hrs
ART 2308 - Art History Survey I 3 hrs
ART 2309 - Art History Survey II 3 hrs
ART 2330 - Computer Graphic Design I 3 hrs
ART 2331 - Digital Photography 3 hrs
ART 3302 - Drawing II 3 hrs
