Early Intervention Specialist, Undergraduate Certificate

The Early Intervention Specialist Certificate is an 18-hour credential designed for students who will not seek teacher certification but who want to work with children. This certificate, along with internship and career opportunities, is granted by the Texas Department of Health and Human Services. This program does not lead to Texas teacher certification.
Students seeking the Early Intervention Specialist Certificate must complete the requirements for the Bachelor of Science degree. The 18 hours of coursework for the Early Intervention Specialist Certificate may be included in the major field of study or be considered an add-on to the Bachelor of Science degree.
