Educational Diagnostician, Post Graduate Certificate

The program is designed for students who have an earned master’s degree and seek educational diagnostician certification. Students must meet the following criteria to be admitted to the Educational Diagnostician Certification Program.

Steps/Timeline to Complete Professional Certifications
Admission to Graduate School
- File completed application for the Professional Education Program and Grad School
- Meet GPA and degree requirements for admission to Grad School and the specific degree requirements
- Indicate specific non-teacher certification desired
Admission to the Education Preparation Program
- Provide a copy of a valid teacher certification
- Provide evidence of required minimum years teaching experience
- Submit service record
- Interview
- Apply to the Education Preparation Program
- Submit autobiography
- TEA Required Trainings
Upon admission to the Education Preparation Program Coursework
- Contact advisor for course direction and selection
- Prior to the practicum, pass the practice exam and attempt the state exam
- Complete all program and/or degree requirements
- Candidate will be recommended to certify
Time for completion does vary for each individual. The recommended timeline for completion for most candidates is 2 to 4 years.
