Educational Diagnostician, Graduate Certification Pathway

The program is designed for students who have an earned master’s degree and seek educational diagnostician certification. Students must meet the following criteria to be admitted to the Educational Diagnostician Certification Program.

Steps for Entry to Educator Preparation Program (EPP):
- File completed application to the WBU Graduate School
- Meet GPA and degree requirements for admission to Grad School and the specific degree requirements
- Indicate specific professional certification desired
- Provide a copy of current and valid teacher certification
- Submit service record as evidence of required minimum years teaching experience
- Apply to the Education Preparation Program (EPP)
- Submit autobiography
- Complete interview with Coordinator of Educational Diagnostician Program
- Once Teacher Education Committee (TEC) approves admission, enroll and pass all Texas Education Agency (TEA) Required Trainings via EDSP 5110
- Contact advisor for course direction and selection
- Prior to the practicum, pass the practice exam and attempt the state exam
- Complete all program and/or TEA requirements
- Once all program and TEA requirements have been met, will be recommended to TEA for certification
