Actuarial Sciences, Minor

Course Requirements

The goal of the Actuarial Sciences minor is to prepare students to pass the Probability and Financial Mathematics Exams.  The minor requires 22 hours, of which 9 must be upper-level.

• ACCT 2305 - Principles of Accounting I 3 hrs -OR- ACCT 3307 - Financial Accounting  3 hrs
• FINA 3309 - Financial Management 3 hrs
• MATH 1306 - Elementary Statistics 3 hrs -OR- BUAD 2335 - Introduction to Business Statistics  3 hrs
• MATH 2309 - Discrete Structures 3 hrs
• MATH 2406 - Calculus I 4 hrs
• MATH 3309 - Probability 3 hrs
• MATH 3311 - Theory of Interest 3 hrs
