Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.)
The Master of Public Administration is designed to prepare both public and non-public employees for a career and/or promotion in administration with the choice of government administration, homeland security and emergency management, and justice administration specializations. MGMT 3304 - Principles of Management or its substantial equivalent is an absolute requirement prior to registering for any graduate level MGMT class. The Dean of the School of Business will determine whether any class other than principles of management is “substantial equivalent.” With proper documentation, up to twelve (12) hours of graduate business course credit may be awarded toward the M.P.A. degree requirements from successful completion and official documentation of Intermediate and/or Senior Education Levels of the Military Services of the United States of America. 36 hours are required including 18 core hours and 18 hours of specialization courses in governmental administration, homeland security/emergency management, or justice administration. Core courses - 18 hours: Notations:
