Media Communication Specialist, Minor

Course Requirements

Students pursuing the B.A. or B.S. degree may complete a minor in media communication specialist. Requirements for the minor include 18 semester hours, of which 9 must be in upper-level courses. Courses required for this minor include:

• MCOM 1301 - Introduction to Media 3 hrs
• MCOM 1303 - Writing for Media 3 hrs
• MCOM 3305 - Principles of Advertising 3 hrs
• MCOM 3331 - Public Relations Principles and Techniques 3 hrs
• Plus six hours, of which three must be upper-level, to be selected with MCOM advisor guidance
