Pre-Professional Programs

Students who wish to enter specific professional or graduate schools should write to those schools to receive advice about the courses of study expected of those who would enter. Below are outlines of programs which are somewhat standard.

Students who follow this curriculum and meet the qualitative entrance requirements of the University of Houston pursue four years of professional study in the College of Optometry beyond the pre-professional courses to receive the degree of Doctor of Optometry.
