NURS 3630 - Intermediate Medical Surgical Nursing 6 hrs
In depth coverage of health care concepts with application through selected exemplars. Analysis of previous knowledge and skills forms the foundation with the emphasis on the nurse as the provider of patient-centered care, patient advocate, and professional member of an interdisciplinary health care team. Focus is on the application, analysis, and synthesis of selected biophysical, psychosocial, and professional nursing concepts utilizing evidence based practice in the interventions and clinical decision making for patients and families. Prerequisite(s): NURS 3421 , NURS 3423 , NURS 3424 , NURS 3425 , NURS 3430 , and NURS 3622 . Three lecture hours and 16 clinical hours Course Fee: Nursing Program Fee $475
