Human Resource Management Specialization, M.A.M.

Master of Arts in Management (M.A.M.)

The Master of Arts in Management is designed for individuals who are currently in management positions and prepares students for the challenges of management in the 21st Century. The degree focuses on developing leadership, communications, and interpersonal skills, and the freedom to accomplish tasks, set goals, and develop relationships necessary for professional development. The program offers three areas of specialization: Health Care Administration, Human Resource Management, and Organization Management. The degree is a 39-credit hour program. The admission standards and requirements are consistent with those outlined for the M.B.A. program. When a course is taken without having the specified prerequisite, equivalent additional hours will be added to the program. With proper documentation, up to twelve (12) hours of graduate business course credit may be awarded toward the M.A.M. degree requirements from successful completion and official documentation of Intermediate and/or Senior Education Levels of the Military Services of the United States of America.

Human Resource Management Specialization (15 hours)

These five courses along with the MAM Core align with the recommended course content of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) for a Human Resource Management specialization.
