Pre-Professional Programs
Students who wish to enter specific professional or graduate schools should write to those schools to receive advice about the courses of study expected of those who would enter. Below are outlines of programs which are somewhat standard. Course Requirements
Courses in biology, chemistry, mathematics and core curriculum studies meet the pre-entrance requirement for technical studies in allied health professions. These include: Applied Rehabilitation Psychology, Child Development, Dental Hygiene, Emergency Medical Services, Health Information Services, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Care, and Surgical Technology. Students should contact the schools offering the technical studies they plan to pursue and then select appropriate courses to be taken from Wayland. Clinical studies will be completed at the school offering the Associate of Applied Science degree or a technical diploma. |
