NURS 3535 - Pediatric Nursing 5 hrs
Introduces the student to care of the well child, the child with special needs and the child with acute and chronic health care needs. Strong emphasis on maintaining dignity of the child, promoting healthy growth and development, even during illness. The child’s family’s needs will be examined. Previous knowledge from all previous courses, lectures, and clinical labs and skills will be tested in all subsequent studies, including this one. The main goal is to emphasize all nursing practices and ensure that patient safety has always been our epicenter. Corequisite(s): NURS 3530 [4 lecture hours / 2 lab hours / 12 clinical hours] Course Fee: Skills Lab Fee - $200
