NURS 4565 - Leadership and Management

Explores concepts of leadership and management through an examination of various leadership/management theories, application of ethical and legal principles, organizational and resource management styles, meeting consumer needs, and delegation of nursing care. Emphasis will be on the student demonstrating critical thinking in the application of the leader/manager role. Previous knowledge from all previous courses, lectures, and clinical labs and skills will be tested in all subsequent studies, including this one. The main goal is to emphasize all nursing practices and ensure that patient safety has always been our epicenter.
