Journalistic Writing, Minor

Course Requirements

This minor is offered for non-English majors who wish to study journalistic writing. The minor requires 18 credit hours. Students in this minor are strongly encouraged to serve on the Trail Blazer.

• MCOM 2313 - Writing and Editing for Media 3 hrs
• ENGL 3326 - Special Topics in Nonfiction 3 hrs

• MCOM 2300 - Digital Production I 3 hrs
• ENGL 3303 - Studies in English 3 hrs

• (when topic pertains to writing)

• ENGL 3307 - Creative Writing 3 hrs
• ENGL 3320 - Foundations of Technical Communication 3 hrs
• ENGL 3331 - Writing for Publication 3 hrs
• ENGL 4314 - Professional Editing 3 hrs
