NURS 4550 - Mental Health Nursing 5 hrs
Physiological and psychological aspects of the mental health related to acute and chronic health problems across the lifespan are presented. Emphasis placed on the role of the professional nurse in health promotion and illness prevention are key components. Focusing on the mental health milieu that exists in a community setting. Previous knowledge from all previous courses, lectures, and clinical labs and skills will be tested in all subsequent studies, including this one. The main goal is to emphasize all nursing practices and ensure that patient safety has always been our epicenter. Corequisite(s): NURS 4455 [4 lecture hours / 2 lab hours / 12 clinical hours] Course Fee: Skills Lab Fee - $200
